Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT ARE THE ROOMS LIKE?
This facility has 'motel style rooms' avavilable (two beds (double and Twin) in each room with a private bathroom & shower). Each room will be a double occupancy and upon request, we will try to match you with your preferred roommate  There are no alarm clocks or phones in the rooms and ear-plugs are recommended.  Please let us know in advance if you have a disability that requires special accomodation.  Please visit the following link for details: http://www.heartlandcenter.org/

ARE MEALS PROVIDED?
All meals will be provided at the conference center.  The first meal is dinner on Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. and the last meal is lunch on Sunday. Those needing special accomodations for dietary needs should let us know on thier application.

HOW IS THE WEEKEND SCHEDULED?
Our normal daily schedule will be sent to you a few weeks before our time together. Generally, the mornings will be breakfast at 8am, followed by our worship time together and a short devotional. After that, it will be two teaching sessions before lunch. After lunch there will be a break and then the afternoon teaching. The evenings will all be centered around the 'Healing Presence Prayer' model we will be using, and it will be a time for you to be ministered to with the 'powerful peace of God'. Because we will be living at the same facility, we can all head of to bed for the evening with that peace that passes all understanding, and have a wonderful nights sleep.
WHERE IS THE TRAINING HELD?

CAN I LIVE AT HOME OR ANOTHER PLACE AND JUST COME FOR THE DAY/EVENING INSTEAD OF STAYING AT THE RETREAT CENTER?
If you live in the Kansas City area, and want to come everyday from home, you may. However, we highly reccomend that you do not. Although it will save you some on the cost of board at the center, you would still need to pay for meals there, and the driving time between home and the center may not be worth it for you. Plus, a big part of the school / course is the interaction we have with one another, and not being distracted by issues and needs at home. If you stay at the school, it will allow you to fully be more present for the teaching and ministry in the evenings, and then you can treat the time like a personal retreat as well. If you would like to stay elsewhere, then please contact us for special pricings and arrangements.
DO YOU HAVE INFO ABOUT AIRPORT & SHUTTLE SERVICES?
IMPORTANT: Do not book your flight until you have received confirmation from us that we know you are coming! The Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is the airport you will want to fly into.
We regret not being able to coordinate rides. When your application is accepted we will inform you of some recommended shuttle services.  The website listed below offers much information regarding airlines, car rental agencies, ground transportation, etc.: www.kansas-city-mci.com
